History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A serious injury left his mother unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Nicholas fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: This man stands a little under 5'1" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. His auburn hair is lengthy. He has several tiny opal earrings on each ear.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Energy wise he seems alert and responsive.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has money and likes to spend it

History: Randal hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Randal was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it.
