Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was born in the west. Adelard was born on a far western island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Painter. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Nicholas is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Nicholas was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Sorcerer, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Sorcerer in service of a powerful lord somewhere. History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Healer. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
