History: Robert was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He hates gnolls. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Aldous took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up pickaxe and armor he uses now. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and a deep hatred of gnolls

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Everard enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He bought a falchion and has really upped his game hunting, due to his understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: To unite with his sister; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He has all his life been fascinated with writing.

History: Everard hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His parents were killed by illithids in a raid when he was still a young child. The illithids captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: Many illithids want him driven away.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He's also a talented Tailor, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he is content
