History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found; and sabotage a competitor

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Apothecary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Apothecary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Jocelyn was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the drow.
