He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of a Weaver, who enjoyed hunting, Jocelyn was taken on many hunting expeditions. Through the years after Jocelyn was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Jocelyn's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Norman hails from a village terrorized by brigands. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
