This search led him directly into Merchant work with an outfit from a few towns over. Merchant work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Gerard was born on a far northern island where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fletcher. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Gunter hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: He desires power and/or immortality; and to reunite with his old friends

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he's looking for his big break

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Reynard was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he has money and likes to spend it
