He wears many layers of old clothing at all times. His silver hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His eyes are blue and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He is irascible and easily irritated. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: He was born at the edge of vast mountains. Through the years after John was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. John's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.
