History: When he was but 5 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Bernard was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the brigands.

History: He was born in the north, but his parents moved at a very young age to the south. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has dedicated himself to building a better world.

Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.
