Through the years after Miles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Miles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by orcs. Cory was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the orcs.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it.
