History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bernard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: Bernard was raised in a hard working conservative environment. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has worked as a Fletcher like his father before him.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He became a Body Guard soon after.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He has dedicated himself to building a better world.
