It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and regain custody of his daughter

Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He has a small toy that he constantly fidgets with.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Godfrey was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Carpenter. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love.
