History: Jocelyn was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. Through the years after Jocelyn was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Jocelyn's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered south to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

History: Lance hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by gnolls. Lance was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and a strong sense of loyalty to human people
