Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bertram was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and money/treasure

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Fisher. He tends to his Fisher job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

History: He was raised by priests from a young age. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
