History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Dean was born on a far southern mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Dilettante. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
