History: Adelard was born with his mother's beautiful face. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Adelard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Adelard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm mother. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.
