Personality: He is quite rude, and likes to deride his opponents skill and shout insults at them. He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He was born in a small plains village. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Alex fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He lacks moral complications. He does what he is told to by employers but not much else. He spends his money on whatever he fancies at the time.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. A gifted student he started as a Slave Trader, but he got bored and became a Crown-heir. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: Hubert is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. More though he will beg to come along on any journeys. He will attempt to stowaway on any ship he can in the hopes that it will get him further away.

History: He is a Doppelganger in disguise. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and to reunite with his old friends

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
