Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He prefers to wear flannel. He wears a wide-brimmed hat to hide his balding. He wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. The war was a terrible time for him, and Miles does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Through the years after Miles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Miles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Description: A middle-aged man, he does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it, and is pretty ugly. He wears his hair in dreadlocks. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines amber.

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: The child of a Priest, who enjoyed hunting, Balimaar was taken on many hunting expeditions. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and to end his boredom

Personality: He is curt in most of his responses. He prefers to keep his word usage to a minimum to avoid giving away unnecessary information. He has a habit of throwing himself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Raymond was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

Personality: He believes there is no problem he cannot solve with sufficient elbow grease and persistence, if it is the best or most economic solution matters not. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of illithids once and for all.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. At a young age his father died while driving off some illithids. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shortbow use. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Someone believes him a fraud; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it

Description: 6'2" and lanky with angular features, he is an attractive figure. He wears an amalgamation of clothes and depending on the season will wear more layers of the continuing hodge podge. He has shaved his head bald. His brown eyes lackadaisically let the world flow into them.

Personality: He never swears and excessively uses polite adverbs when speaking. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Herbalist for the past few years.

Motivation: Many orcs want him driven away; and someone believes him a fraud
