Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. The war was a terrible time for him, and Richard does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: A child with a great deal of writing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Jocelyn never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.
