History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He always admired druidic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
