When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Merchant hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Merchant and was forced into it by his family; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Lewis was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To prove his worth to the world; and money/treasure
