Description: This late middle aged man wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty yellow coat over it and is in decent physical shape. His golden hair has been sun bleached extensively. He wears crescent spectacles with a black brim.

Personality: Rolf is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He seeks to pay back kindness whenever he gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip he always seeks to do solids for his friends.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents were killed by orcs in a raid when he was still a young child. The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. His philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: He seems absolutely devoid of it. He stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the north; and to end his boredom

Personality: He is mildly Human supremacist, though he does not identify as such. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: The child of a Carter, who enjoyed hunting, Bernard was taken on many hunting expeditions. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the south were limited. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
