History: The child of a Mason, who enjoyed hunting, Alex was taken on many hunting expeditions. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He is an amazing painter.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and revenge

Description: This man is tall and muscular. He wears a robe, a symbol of luck around his neck, and a sword on his belt. His golden hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. His skin is flawless and his green eyes scan people very quickly.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Arnold embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. After a long history of fighting, Arnold and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He fancies himself a trickster and likes to rely on his wits to carry the day. He cares for his older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Performer. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Performer.
