History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His mother took him hunting and taught him how to get in the mind of other creatures. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and an old rival family wants him found

History: Born in the north to a Farmer, Adelard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He's also a talented Barber, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is fiercely devoted to his mother, and views his mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating him from his legal half-sister.
