During his travels, Odo and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Odo discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Odo fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: The child of a Masseuse, who enjoyed hunting, Everard was taken on many hunting expeditions. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. Patrick was born on a far southern plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Healer. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
