History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. Some 8 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Bertram never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and wishes to resurrect an old love
