Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hugh was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.
