History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Nicholas was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and to reunite with his old friends
