Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Humans.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Shane was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He can speak with the recently deceased. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. His childhood dream was to be a Interpreter, but he was a colossal failure. He became a Sailor soon after.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. Through the years after Alex was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Alex's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.
