History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he is wearing a long, brown, dusty cloak. He has a long chestnut beard with little hanging trinkets. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: Alex wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He also has developed a complete distrust of the Spy profession.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Ploughman and was forced into it by his family; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister

Description: This late middle aged man very much looks the part of a Baker and is in decent physical shape. He has styled his chestnut hair well, parting it to the right. His eyes are likewise brown. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Baker work with an outfit from a few towns over. Baker work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: Wants to open a new tavern; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: His voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl he speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of his tone. He takes great joy in being the best Beggar in town.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He hasn't been sleeping well lately.

Motivation: To be a Glassblower again.

Description: This northern man is abnormally tall. He wears skinny pants and wears a blue and grey robe with the hood down. His whole body is exceptionally muscular. His golden hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: Randal is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. The war was a terrible time for him, and Randal does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep.
