History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. After a long history of fighting, Bernard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Description: The dark-skinned man stands 6'1" and wears a shirt that is too small, which lets his gut show, with a ratty grey coat over it. He has dyed his greying brown hair a little too much giving a sharp brown color. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Barkeep who has hired him part-time. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Gilbert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: To protect his home; and to find somewhere to settle down
