History: He comes from a rich southern family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He will rave to anyone who will listen. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: Born in the west his family was never financially stable. Through the years after Conrad was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Conrad's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Conrad and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and he wants to meet his childhood hero

Personality: He barks his statements quickly and with little fuss. He prefers small words and is at his heart utilitarian. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Dyer but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: Hunter wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Adept, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Priest, but he got bored and became a Miner. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
