History: Lance lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His parents enrolled him in a Barbarian school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. After a long history of fighting, Lance and his spouse have recently divorced.

He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
