History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by giants. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered giants who tried to eat his hand. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Gerald was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Servant. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by goblins, and he desires to right it
