History: Shane was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Ranger, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Ranger in service of a powerful lord somewhere. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

He is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers his face most of the time. His red hair and beard is wavy and long. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: Quiet and reserved he prefers to listen than to talk. He will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. He pushes his goals aggressively. He is also a coward if confronted.

History: He got into the Slave Trader business at a young age. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He became a Slave Trader soon after.

Motivation: He wants revenge against dire rats; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Adventurer for hire.

Motivation: To get a good night's sleep; and to be a barrister again

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Ruler profession.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. His parents enrolled him in a Wizard school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. He has achieved small success as a Hunter.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end; and wants a kiss

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Henry grew up listening to his mother's many stories. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Human companion (his 'brother'). He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and he desires power and/or immortality
