History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gilbert was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Gilbert was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.
