History: Gerald was born the youngest of three triplets. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Many dire rats want him driven away.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Heward embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. After a long history of fighting, Heward and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

History: Miles hails from a village terrorized by illithids. His parents enrolled him in a Cleric school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Personality: Ralf wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Cleric, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He also is a firm believer in the manly ideal.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. His father was a soldier and died while he was still young. Ralf was left his father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and money/treasure
