Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Merchant they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Engraver, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Gerard was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.
