History: Nicholas hails from a village terrorized by orcs. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting orcs, the young Nicholas began to lead the lost caravan. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He found a children's book about a Human Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.
