He found a children's book about a Human Barbarian who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

History: The child of a Mortician, who enjoyed hunting, Gilbert was taken on many hunting expeditions. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his father's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered goblins who tried to eat his hand. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Gilbert was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.
