History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Carpenter. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break.

History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
