Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Laborer born in the past three hundred years. The war was a terrible time for him, and Roland does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Born in the west to a Laborer, Roland learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. His childhood dream was to be a Locksmith, but he was a colossal failure. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. Through the years after Dustin was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Dustin's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He tends to his Tanner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
