History: Gifted from a young age, Gerard studied abroad. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Painter hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.

Personality: He hates dire rats. He views them as having robbed his home of its proper glory. Cory enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. His first spouse was a Painter, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Cory was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: Born in the south to a Mason, Theodoric learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has never given up on his painting dream.
