History: Shane was born with his father's beautiful face. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Cursed with vampirism at a very young age, Bernard has worked very hard to control his curse. During his travels, Bernard and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Bernard discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Bernard fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
