History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Nicholas alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He struck the Animal Trainer job and began his own company from there.

History: Bernard was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in.
