He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He tends to his Cartwright job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and retire the richest man in the south
