Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Carter for the past few years.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Painter arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after John was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. John's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A freak accident while working with his Beggar mother left him crippled. In the meantime he has taken over work as a Fisher and occasionally as a mercenary.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
