Motivation: He made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: He is a Laborer first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Laborer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Laborer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
