History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Everard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Gilbert was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the giants.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions
