History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Simon was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He always admired psionic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Manfred was born the youngest of three triplets. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: He got into the Detective business at a young age. In his formative years he discovered how persuasive he was. He began using that to his advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. He eventually got the idea of being the protector of his homeland from reading books, and has made it his duty.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and regain custody of his daughter
