History: He got into the Roofer business at a young age. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: Bernard was born the youngest of three triplets. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Locksmith and was forced into it by his family; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the north. He is used to getting what he wants. In part because he is a meticulous planner.

History: Tim was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and he is greedy

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: He got into the Dilettante business at a young age. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He's attracted to the PC; and doesn't want to be a dilettante and was forced into it by his family
